The White House hopes to boost President Donald Trump’s low approval ratings by using the economy as a centerpiece of its political message in 2018, according to three White House officials, even if many of the president’s successes so far are squarely built on the legacy of former President Barack Obama. The trends of declining unemployment, coupled with healthy gains in the stock market, began during Obama’s first term, a welcome uptick following the global economic downturn Obama inherited in 2009. The Trump administration has built on those gains, particularly in recent months. Business confidence has soared on the…

According to CNN, a Jackson Magnolia tree that has been located on the south facade of the White House since the 1800s will reportedly be cut down. The tree, which is one of three that are located on the west side of the White House, is too damaged to stay where it is. “The overall architecture and structure of the tree is greatly compromised and the tree is completely dependent on the artificial support,” documents obtained by CNN regarding the tree reveal. “Without the extensive cabling system, the tree would have fallen years ago. Presently, and very concerning, the cabling…

Barack Obama said  in an interview for the BBC Radio 4 that when he handed over the reins of the White House to President Donald Trump, he felt serene, even though there was work yet to be completed. “I think it was a satisfying feeling. That was mixed with all the work that was still undone. Concerns about how the country moves forward but, you know, overall there was serenity there. More than I would have expected,” Obama said. Still, he believed his administration had “run a good race” during its eight years in office. “One of the metaphors that…

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is not happy with the media’s coverage of Ivanka Trump. She said  Ivanka has been treated unfairly. “I frankly, I think it’s shameful the way that she’s been treated,” Sanders said during an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt. “If she didn’t have the same last name, they would be celebrating her,” she said. “They would be praising her. They would be thanking God that she is sitting in a position that she is to influence policy and help women across this country. “And instead, they attack her, they shame her, and they…

Actor James Woods  accused Barack Obama of being a Muslim and liberals of being “brainwashed” in an insane Christmas Eve tirade. Woods responded to a tweet about Obama “ordering investigations into Hezbollah be stopped” by claiming that he is a Muslim. “He is a Muslim,” he tweeted. “He can deny it, his apologists in the media can refute it, and his enablers can promote a narrative that he is a Christian. It’s a pack of lies. Obama is a Muslim and that is where his allegiance lies. Always has. Always will.” https://twitter.com/RealJamesWoods/status/944847235870683136 Obama is not a Muslim and anyone…

There was this chant during President Donald Trump campaign, “Build the wall!” Trump’s promise to build a wall on the Mexican border was one of the reasons he won the election. Now, Fox News is suggesting he build a war on our northern border as well. Friday morning on Fox & Friends, Jillian Mele said that Trump “might want to think about a northern border wall” to seal off America from Canada. Mele believes we need this concrete divide because Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently voiced approval for a new domestic policy that would allow “reformed terrorists” to return to…

After passing the tax bill, President Donald Trump expected a lot of praises from Americans, but he was disappointed. Vanity Fair put it, “Trump Can’t Believe No One’s Thrown a Parade in His Honor.” Bess Levin’s piece started after Scott Dworkin of the Democratic Coalition tweeted: https://twitter.com/funder/status/943556059280445440 After this, Trump slowly began to unravel: https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/943819430735372289 In her VANITY FAIR piece, Levin writes, “despite the fact that Trump stands to financially benefit from the bill beyond his wildest, most self-serving dreams, and that its passage represents his first concrete ‘achievement’ since entering office, the Queens-born billionaire wasn’t in as jolly…

The GOP is  trying to sell their tax bill as some kind of saving grace for middle-class families, and  Paul Ryan did the marketing on CNBC, where he  claimed that the extra $2,059 a middle-class family will see in the first year of the tax bill is going to solve all of their problems. Because getting a little less than an extra $175 a month will entirely pay for the health insurance premiums that are going to skyrocket because of this bill. Ryan continued. Making it clear that he doesn’t care about low-income or middle-class families in blue states. Either…
