The question everyone is asking; are we close to President Donald Trump’s impeachment?
Investigators in the American Senate are asking the Treasury Department’s criminal investigation division to pull out serious evidence on Trump’s financial ties.
Trump may fire those he wants to, but he cannot fire everyone in the U.S. Senate.
Mark Warner, a top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, is tired of the smokescreens coming from Trump administration. Warner has gone to the Treasury Department and demanded information about the president, his officials, and his aides.
“We’ve made a request, to FinCEN in the Treasury Department, to make sure, not just for example vis-a-vis the President, but just overall our effort to try to follow the Intel no matter where it leads,” Warner said. “You get materials that show if there have been, what level of financial ties between, I mean some of the stuff, some of the Trump-related officials, Trump campaign-related officials and other officials and where those dollars flow, not necessarily from Russia.”
FinCEN is the agency within the Treasury Department that looks into money laundering crimes committed by foreigners buying U.S. real estate.
What this means is that the Senate already have in their possession evidence that may suggest that the president is helping Putin and his people launder money in America.
We may not know the distance the rabbit hole of this investigation may go, but Warner is not talking chance as he wants the Senate to review financial information of Team Trump.
“Chairman Burr and I requested that information,” Warner continued. “Until we get it, I’m not going to support the administration’s nominee for undersecretary of Treasury finance, for terrorism and finance, because they owe us these documents first.”
There has been evidence suggesting that the president must have had some shady dealings with the Russians, with the FinCEN, it suggests that the Senate got some reasons to believe that Trump and Putin got some stuff together.
