Former Vice President Joe Biden laughs off the feud between Republican Senator John McCain and Donald Trump.
“The idea that Trump is going to intimidate John McCain? Give me a break,” Mr Biden said while being interviewed for the New York Times. Biden served as vice president to Democratic President Barack Obama, with whom he formed a strong relationship.
John McCain has been receiving high praise from Democrats as he continues to voice his strong objections to several of Mr Trump’s policies and objectives.
“To abandon the ideals we have advanced around the globe, to refuse the obligations of international leadership for the sake of some half-baked, spurious nationalism cooked up by people who would rather find scapegoats than solve problems,” he said, “is as unpatriotic as an attachment to any other tired dogma of the past that Americans consigned to the ash heap of history.”
