Ivanka Trump travelled to Lima, Peru, for the C.E.O. Summit of the Americas, where she met with women business leaders at the stock exchange to discuss “how we can further empower women in our hemisphere to take on leadership roles in the workplace and the importance of public-private partnerships to ensure women can thrive in the economy.”
She also joined President Martín Vizcarra for a dinner at Huaca Pucllana “This week, as countries come together across the Americas, we once again affirm the critical role of women in the economy,” she wrote on Instagram. “Today the Administration launched 2X Americas, a new US initiative which will commit $150 million & mobilize a total of $500 million to provide access to capital and economic opportunities for women in Latin America!”
The Peruvian newspaper, El Comercio, asked Trump on Thursday what the best advice her father, Donald Trump, has given her since being in the White House.
“My father has taught me to be brave, to think big, and always do what I feel is right,” she replied. “He has taught me to stay focused on the work that lies ahead of me and never give up.”
