Does the “Pee Tape” exist?
According to the dossier, there exists a recording of Donald Trump in Moscow watching Russian prostitutes urinating on each other, also called a “golden shower.” Now, thanks to former FBI Director James Comey, we know that there is a good chance that the tape does exist.
In his new book, A Higher Truth, Comey claims that Trump requested that Comey look into the rumors that Moscow had obtained footage of him and the prostitutes performing the fetish act. In his interview on Good Morning America with George Stephanopoulos, Comey described his conversations with Trump about the pee tape as an “almost an out-of-body experience for me.” Even stranger, First Lady Melania Trump apparently believes that the tape could exist too. When Stephanopoulos asked Comey if he believed Trump’s denial, the former director said:
“I honestly never thought these words would come out of my mouth, but I don’t know whether the current president of the United States was with prostitutes peeing on each other in Moscow in 2013. It’s possible, but I don’t know.”
Trump’s concern with Russia went beyond the salacious tape, and asked Comey if he could shut down the fact that Russia had impacted the 2016 election. According to Comey, Trump wasn’t interested in stopping Russia from doing it again, but how to make sure his victory was protected:
“No one, to my recollection, asked ‘what’s coming next from the Russians? How might we stop it? What’s the future look like?’ It was all, what can we say about what they did and how it affects the election that we just had.”
If Comey’s book is credible, Trump might want to worry more about how his own actions will affect the next election.
Watch James Comey use the same level of fact checking that the Fire and Fury book did to tell stories:
