The first family is not only fighting off Michael Wolff’s new book Fire and Fury and Steve Bannon ,Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump’s rivals is Kellyanne Conway, who the couple nicknamed “nails.”
The name was meant to reference Conway’s affinity for having long, Cruella de Vill styled fingernails, according to Wolff.
But it was more than fingernails that bothered Ivanka and Kushner. They hated how Conway performed in interviews, where she coined phrases like “alternative facts.” They were “repelled” by the “vulgarity” of the counselor who is often credited as saving Trump’s campaign.
Wolff says that Conway “was so hyperbolic that even Trump loyalist found her behavior extreme and were repelled.”
“None were more put off than Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, who, appalled at the ¬shamelessness of her television appearances, extended this into a larger critique of Conway’s vulgarity.”
After being sidelined from making TV appearances for a while, Conway has a “teary scene” with Trump as she offered to resign.
But Trump told her, “You will always have a place in my administration” and that “You will be here for eight years.”
