Obama will make an awards show appearance where she will honor the  late Eunice Kennedy Shriver at the ESPYs.

The former first lady  will present the Arthur Ashe Courage Award in honor of Shriver, the founder of the Special Olympics, who died in 2009. However, it is her son, Timothy, the chairman of the Special Olympics who will receive the award.

“Eunice Kennedy Shriver was a passionate champion for those with developmental challenges, empowering them to fulfill their highest potential,” Obama said in a statement. “I am incredibly honored to present this award to her son to celebrate her life’s work.”

Former NFL star Peyton Manning will be the host of the event. Obama has not been away from the show world since she left the White House. She was seen  in a video at the BET Awards to help honor Chance the Rapper for his humanitarian work.
