Roseanne Barr is not excited that Oprah Winfrey is actively thinking of running for president. While participating on the Television Critics Association panel on Monday night, promoting the upcoming Roseanne revival, Barr was asked if she would cast her vote for Winfrey should she run in 2020.
“I do love Oprah,” she said, per The Hollywood Reporter. “Of course, I love Oprah like everybody else. But you know what? I think it was time for us as a country to shake things up and, you know, try something different.”
Someone else asked if she would support Susan Sarandon for president. Barr rejected the idea, and then made a really bold claim. “Actually, I think I’d be a better president than Oprah and Susan Sarandon, probably even President Trump. And I did run in 2012,” she stated.
Yes, she ran, and no one noticed. She might be right about maybe one of those three people, but then again, so would most people in the country.
