President Donald Trump has not gotten over a lot of things in his life; neither has he accepted the truth. He is bent on insulting the former president, Barack Obama, at every available opportunity.
The president held a press conference with Jordanian King Abdullah II at the White House, and immediately the topic of Syria came up, Trump started blaming Obama.
Trump claims Obama created the conditions in Syria that led to the gas attack when Obama refused to act on the threat against Assad in 2012 for the use of chemical weapons.
“A long time ago when he said the red line in the sand when he did not cross that line after making the threat, I think that set us back long ways, not only in Syria but many other parts of the world because it was a blank threat. I think it was something that was not one of our better days as a country.”
The president said he had taken the responsibility to take care of Syria. “I now have a responsibility, and I will have that responsibility and carry it very proudly,” he said. “I will tell you that. It is now my responsibility.”
King Abdullah spoke but was cut off by Trump who said, “The world is a mess. I inherited a mess.”
