Sarah Huckabee Sanders was ready to embrace a hostile territory when she agreed to appear on The View.
The hosts of The View don’t like President Donald Trump for any reason and during the panel discussion, Huckabee also refused to answer one simple question.
Co-host Joy Behar said that each time Huckabee speaks on behalf of the president, she must defend his lies. Behar cited Politifact’s scorecard for the president, which found that only 5% of what Donald says is true.
Sanders replied, “I completely disagree with the fact that what you’re saying is only 5 percent of that is true. I know that is simply not accurate and I think that’s one of the dangers we have right now is pushing so many false narratives every day, creating false perceptions about the president. I think America should want him to succeed. He is the president, whether they voted for him or not, and I think we have to get behind him.”
“You’re absolutely correct,” Goldberg responded, “But you also have to get somebody in office who recognizes what the truth is.”
Whoopi asked, “Where was President Obama born and is he an American citizen?”
Sanders answered, “I think that has been pretty well-addressed.”
